Mrs. Laverne Denise Tillman, age 72, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 18, 1953, Laverne was a woman whose presence carried warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, whether through her work, her community, or most importantly, her family. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and at home, often with nothing more than a gentle smile and a few well-chosen words.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren and extended family who will continue to carry her love forward.

Laverne found joy in the simple things: Sunday dinners filled with laughter, music playing softly in the background, and moments spent watching her family grow. She was known for her resilience, her deep faith, and her unwavering support for those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents and several loved ones who welcomed her home.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming days, with details to be announced by the family.

Though she may be gone from this world, her love remains woven into the lives she touched, steady and unbreakable.
