In loving memory, that will be forever etched in our minds and hearts, our beloved Ryen Nicole Bergman passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 37, after her courageous battle with colon cancer. Ryen passed away in her home with her loving husband Donald Bergman II by her side. Their true and indomitable love is a testament that love doesn't have conditions or expiration dates.

Ryen was born in Dorchester, MA and was raised in Derry NH. After graduating from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, she moved to Brockton, MA put herself through the Dental Assistant program at Porter and Chester Institute graduating 2015. She then began her career and became the lead dental assistant at Dental Arts of Westwood. As a child, and later as an adult, Ryen commanded any room she was in by sheer force of personality. She was a magnetic person that could quickly get the measure of someone. This enabled her to be such an amazing confidant to her friends and loved ones. Ryen moved her little family up to Chester, NH in 2017 where she fell in love and eventually married Donald on October 31, 2020. Rounding out her beautiful family are her dogs Elvis, Harlow, Coco, Roland and her many chickens and ducks!

Ryen is survived by her husband Donald Bergman ll, her children Sebastian Jay Hanney, Lhaicy May Velasquez, and her step-daughter Ella Raine Bergman, all three of whom she loved with an unmatched ferocity. Ryen is also survived by her mother Karen Jay Twidwell Johnson, her father Bruce Edward Hanney, step-mother Debra Hanney, brother Eric Jay Hanney, her “sister in-law” Jenna Joseph, her beautiful niece Jaida Lee Hanney, her father-in-law Donald Bergman and mother in-law Dianne Winchell, her best friend, the godmother to her children, Brooke Johnson, the mother of her bonus child Cherri Landry and close family Nelda Velasquez and Karl Bloedow. Ryen is also survived by her aunt Linda Hanney, many other aunts, uncles and cousins who will never forget her wit and kind, yet honest spirit and laughter. We all will miss her witty jokes and dry (or in some instances dark) sense of humor.

Ryen could never be summed up with mere words. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and love that will be treasured by all of those that knew her.
