Several years ago I was staying with Ryan's grandmother, Elaine Schlosser. She had cancer and I think she passed away several months after this story, but I got a phone call in the morning from Ryan saying he wanted to come by and spend a couple of hours with his grandma. Shortly after that he arrived and talked and made more with her and both had a wonderful visit. I always thought that was very kind of him to take the time to see her as he didn't get a chance to see her very often but had had the opportunity to develop a close relationship with her in the past. I will always remember his kindness and consideration for others

Though I only met Ryan briefly, he was a very polite and interesting young man. I am so sorry for your loss.

I grew up next door to Ryan and his family. In high school, my mom had some business to do at JMU so she dropped me off with Ryan for an afternoon. We talked about my future school plans, ate pizza, and watched Avatar: The Last Airbender. At some point, my being there must’ve messed with Kimmy’s normal routine because Ryan told me she was pouting. When I attended JMU, I laughed about this nearly every time I drove past their old apartment building.

I ended up watching Kimmy a few times while Ryan was exploring and making new friends across the globe. I know Ryan will be sorely missed by folks across the world including those of us who lived just around the corner.

I met Ryan while I was visiting NY (I was visiting from Germany) and surfed at his couch a couple of nights. He showed me around. We even went on a biking trip. One day he took me to an Australian restaurant, which he liked. He was a very nice guy to have around. He gave me good memories of my trip. I also remember his dogs favourite toy at the time, which was a  stuffed doll of Trump :D

So sorry to hear he passed away. My condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.

See you in a better place!

My thoughts are with his family at this time. I was only able to know him for a short time but working with him was a great experience. We were able to have many great conversations and he made the day better. He will be missed. I wish time would have allowed me to know him more, But the time shared will be remembered.
