Ryan Matthew Brown age 39, of Sanford, Florida, passed away July 22, 2021. He was born May 30, 1982 in Oroville, California. Ryan is survived by his beloved spouse Benjamin Cowman, parents Debbie Knight and Christopher Knight, and Cris and Tracey Brown, sisters Ashlee and brother-in-law Justin Tennell, Megan and brother-in-law Rick Shanks, brother Matthew McGregor. He is also survived by niece Elizabeth Tennell, nephew Cohen Tennell, mother and father-in-laws Patrice and Jordan Cowman; and special pet companions Maggie, Oliver, and Ace. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Collison-Gramkow Funeral Home.

Ryan loved other people and caring for them. He was a generous person who continually reached out to others. Ryan’s sensitive nature led to lasting relationships with family and friends all over the world. Ryan lived for adventure, and was always looking for a fun activity to plan with family and friends. He was passionate about so many things: Star Trek conventions, indoor skydiving, escape rooms, Broadway shows, Gatorland, ziplining, beach days, and so many more. Perhaps the only adventure that he didn’t love was swimming with dolphins, and of course he had a great story to tell about that. Ryan was a storyteller, and we all have so many memories of his epic stories. He was a bright, loving, empathetic, outgoing, and fun person who touched the hearts of everyone he knew.
