In Loving Memory of Ryan
With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we remember Ryan—a remarkable 14-year-old whose light, laughter, and love left a lasting imprint on all of us.
Ryan was a young man of many passions. He was full of energy, curiosity, and warmth—and whether he was immersed in a video game, standing proud in his JROTC uniform, or simply curled up with his beloved dog, Khloe, Ryan gave himself fully to the things he loved.
Gaming was a world where Ryan came alive. It was more than just screens and controllers—it was a place where he could imagine, explore, compete, and connect. He lit up when talking about his favorite games, and he made sure everyone around him felt welcome to join in the fun. It was his way of bonding, sharing laughter, and creating memories that now mean even more.
JROTC was another source of deep pride for Ryan. He took it seriously and wore his uniform with honor. He admired discipline, service, and leadership, and even at just 14, he embodied those traits. He looked up to the men and women who served, and in so many ways, he was already becoming a leader in his own right—steadfast, respectful, and driven by heart.
And then there is Khloe—his faithful, furry best friend. The bond between Ryan and Khloe was unbreakable. She was more than a pet; she was his companion, his comfort, and his joy. Whether it was playing tug-a-war with her favorite toy, relaxing on the couch, or just sitting quietly side by side, their love was simple, pure, and unconditional. We know that Khloe feels his absence just as deeply as we do.
Ryan was surrounded by a wide circle of love—his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends who now carry the weight of his absence. And yet, even in our grief, we are filled with gratitude. Gratitude for every laugh, every hug, every proud moment, and every quiet memory he left behind.
Though we may never understand why someone with so much light was called home so soon, we believe Ryan is now at peace. We picture him in a place with his Grandpa Larry where the skies stretch wide, where games go on forever, where he marches proudly with honor—and where Lola’s tail is wagging beside him.
Ryan, thank you. For the love you gave, the lessons you taught, and the legacy you leave behind. You will forever live in our hearts—in every salute, every game played, and every moment we look up and think of you.
With all our love,
Grandma Paula and Tony
