Ryan's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Michael Bonnell who was born on November 8, 1984, and passed away on July 19, 2024, after a long-fought battle with brain cancer. His life was marked by a compassionate spirit, an unwavering love for his family and friends, and his penchant for happiness in the face of adversity. Ryan is survived by his loving mother, Lisa (Darrell); his father, Kevin (Jen) Bonnell; his brother, Austin Foster; his sisters, Rhianna (Kevin) Fagan, Aubrey Foster, Alexis Bonnell, and Avery Bonnell. He also leaves behind his aunts, Lori Bonnell Medlock and Rita Bonnell Illig; his nephews, Lucas Jay Fagan and Mason Ryan Fagan; and niece, Olivia Louise Fagan.
Ryan was a connoisseur of good food, he enjoyed pizza, burgers, fries, meatloaf, and whatever his beloved mom cooked. He developed a love for reading from an early age, with favored books including 'The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe', the 'Harry Potter' series, 'His Dark Materials', and 'The Lord of the Rings'. He also enjoyed caramel iced coffee, was a keen fan of the band Breaking Benjamin, TV show 'How I Met Your Mother'. One of Ryan's most cherished hobbies was playing video games, particularly the Zelda franchise, and enjoyed watching a diverse array of movies. He had a fondness for spending time in his room, his personal sanctuary.
Ryan's personality was magnetic, full of sweetness and humor. He cherished giving and receiving warm hugs, and his contagious laughter could fill a room. Ryan taught us that, even in hard times, we can laugh and love, treating others with the respect and kindness we wish for ourselves. His legacy, indeed, is an emphasis on unconditional love, relentless laughter, resilience in tough times, and unwavering kindness. While we mourn the loss of a precious life, we also celebrate the loving, joyful, and caring person that Ryan was. His love for his family, especially his mother, was evident in every aspect of his life. He will be dearly missed but remembered fondly by those who knew him.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Gerald "Jerry" Brooks, Glorida Brooks, LuDean and Rudy Bonnell.
