Lariscy family,

The Gaultneys are so sad to hear of Mrs. Lariscy’s passing. We so loved being your neighbors on Plum Nelly. She is missed by so many!

You are in our thoughts and prayers,

Laura Merriem (Gaultney) McCalvin

I am so sorry to learn about Dr. Lariscy's passing! And learn from her I did. As a public relations Grady grad, I took and very much enjoyed her Intro to PR and Research courses. She was a very intelligent, engaging and warm-hearted professor, and her passion for her profession and her students was palpable. I also remember her before UGA as her babysitter while she and her family lived in High Ridge and my family lived in Riverbottom (hi Rachel, Joe and Mary!) -- so I had an added sense of comfort and familiarity when I was in her classroom. My heart goes out to her family, friends and loved ones. She will be missed, yet her soul will certainly live on. <3
Since debating with Ruthann in high school until now, I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Ruthann.  It is with heavy heart that I mark her death that was totally unexpected by me. Having visited your home, Joe, for the Mizzou vs Georgia, it was so much fun sharing your dinner table with your entire family.  Ruthann and you so generously opened your home to Ann and me and I particularly enjoyed reminiscing with  Ruthann about our high school and college days.  She was a unique and wonderful woman and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.  I am sure you will prize your fond memories of her.

What a great neighbor and sweet person. I always looked forward to our conversations.

My sincerest condolences.

During the year I spent with the Weaver family I got to know Ruthann as an "AFS-sister". I greatly admired  her intelligence and her zest for life.

She will always have a special place in my heart as will all of the Weaver family

An incredibly sweet, intelligent & curious, amazing person & second mom who made a profound & positive impact on my life.
Ruthann was a dear neighbor of ours  when we lived on Mansfield Ct in Athens! She ALWAYS had a beautiful smile on her face.  Our daughter ,Amy, babysit for Rachel and Joe when they were small children.  I always enjoyed being around such a lovely lady as she was.  Prayers to all of her family 🙏🙏🙏💞💞💞
