Thinking of Fran and Ruthie's family on this special day! We sent Fran an envelope a pictures which he received a few days before their 60th wedding anniversary which was 7/30/25. When we visited Ruthie and Fran in Dec'r 2024 we saw her quite a few times and enjoyed a Christmas program. She had her hair done before the event and she looked beautiful! When we said good-bye the next day she said "Oh, are you still here?" Always loved, never forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to say goodbye to Ruthie, a dear friend from our youth. We didn’t go to the same high school, but we shared so many memories together through our time at Grace Baptist church in Riverside, California.
I’ll never forget the fun we had with our group of friends, especially on double dates. Ruthie was always so endearingly nervous about dating Fran who would later become her husband and lifelong companion. It was clear even back then how much she cared, and I admired her sweet and thoughtful nature.
Ruthie’s kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Rest in peace, my friend.
With love and fond memories, Terry

Ruthie gave me my first “real” job, taking a chance on hiring a 17 year old as a teller at First Interstate Bank in Goleta. I worked there throughout my college years. She had a confidence in me and created such a wonderful work environment, leading with such kindness and integrity. So thankful for her life, and the experience she gave me. My heart hurts for all of you. Know that I am thinking about you and praying comfort over you.

Ruthie and Fran were among the first people we met at Summit View and one of the reasons we stayed. They warmly welcomed us, and invited us to be part of their small group Bible Study. We studied and prayed together through several life's stages over the years. We shared many meals and laughs. Ruthie's smile was priceless and will be missed. She was hostess extraordinaire and she always had a beautiful, warm and welcoming home. When I was ill and when I had a spinal fracture Ruthie was one of the first to bring soup. She knew what was needed and she knew how to help. She and Fran offered rides to myself and to my husband, assisting in whatever way possible, any time we needed help. That was Ruthie, always caring about people, loving them. She loved God, and she especially loved and cherished her family. Every single family member was precious to her. Her siblings, husband, children, in law children and grand children. She will be missed by all. Goodbye for now dear Ruthie, will see you when it is my turn. In the mean time may your reunion with the saints be sweet. Peace to all who knew and loved her. She is a saint gone all too soon. Condolences to all of her family.
