Christopher Lamont Fields, age 48, passed away on November 11, 2025. Born on August 5, 1977, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Calvin and Ruthan Fields, Chris spent his life in Kentucky and worked in a variety of roles over the years, most recently at Link Belt. He was known for his strong will, resilience, and determination — qualities that shaped both his life and the way he moved through the world.

Chris had a deep appreciation for horses and horse racing, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He also had an insane love for the Duke basketball team, cheering for them passionately through every season and sharing that excitement with those around him. His love for the things he cared about most was unwavering and will be remembered by those who knew him.

Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Ruthan Fields, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his daughter, Shayana Fields (Lexington, Ky), his father, Calvin Fields (Paris, Ky), and his aunts Leslie Robinson (Dayton, OH) and Tracie Hightower (Southfield, MI).

He will be cremated, and a small memorial service will be held in the coming weeks for family and close friends. Those who knew Chris are invited to remember him in their own meaningful way.
