Obituary
Ruth Lenell Sayles was born in Edna, Texas to Bernice and Andrew Sayles. She was the youngest of nine children, five girls, and four boys. Her father preceded her in death at age three and her mother at age seventeen. In the speed of graduating high school, losing a mother, and moving to California, Ruth was forced to grow up fast.
Ruth never had any children of her own. She found solace in music, teaching, spending time with her family, remembering everyone’s birthday, celebrating and caring for all of our children, and calling to check in on us.
Ruth was the life of the party in the world and in her later years turned to dance with a new partner, Jesus. She began to witness, join bible studies to increase her faith, and shared that love for God’s salvation with us all. She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Carrin Barnes, brothers, Victor and Dudley Sayles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
