Ruth's obituary
She was born December 5, 1938 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Tannie (Karman) Meyer.
Ruth was a graduate of Lincoln High School's class of 1957 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
She moved to Geneva, Illinois in 1961 upon her marriage to Jim.
Ruth was a long time member of the Geneva United Methodist Church. She loved camping and was an excellent cook and baker. She was an amazing daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Ruth faced a lifetime of health challenges, which she met without complaint. She was a kind, gentle soul, who always put everyone before herself. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years James "Jim" Jr.; children Tannie (Gary) Foiles, James “Jay” III (Kim), and Chad (Michelle) all of Batavia; grandchildren Trevor and Krista Foiles and James “Jake” IV and Rachael Lovig; brothers Robert (Ursula) of Hawaii and Kenneth (Peggy) of Nevada; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Dean.
Services for Ruth will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Child Fund, PO Box 26507, Richmond, Virginia 23261-6507 would be appreciated.
