Ruth's obituary

Nancy Kibens (née Eggleston) died peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

Born to Howard and Harriett Eggleston in Albany, New York, on January 6, 1935, Nancy was an avid traveler, accomplished pottery artist and devoted singer.

She brought beauty into her life and the lives of others through her wonderful pottery, which is in hundreds of households. She was happiest when she was creating something.

If there was an adventure to be had, Nancy was the first in line, frequently traveling out of the country with her daughter, Kristin.

Wherever she went, Nancy sought out a choir. She was the alto in a recording of “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place” to be played during her funeral service.

Nancy would want to thank her friends for being in her life. She was grateful for all the lessons she learned from them.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son Kurt. Her daughter Kristin passed on December 26, 2025. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Cassie (Sam) and Griffin.

A service will be held for her on Saturday, January 24, at Manchester United Methodist Church. The service begins at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mid America Transplant Services.
