Ruth Concannon, an irreplaceable beacon of vivacity, laughter, and ladylike grace, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023. Born on October 1, 1924, Ruth's love for life was infectious and left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know her.
Ruth was a beloved mother, leaving behind her daughter, Karen Meyer, who will forever cherish fond memories of their time together, Her son Michael Timothy who will forever cherish her eagerness to listen to how his last golf game went. Her son, Garry who will welcome her home in Heaven and daughter Kelleen, for whom she will always watch over as an angel. Her outlook, both humorous and vibrant, brought laughter into any room she graced. Despite her vivacious spirit, she always maintained the dignity and poise of a true lady.
Among the many life wisdoms she imparted, Ruth often stressed the importance of mindful decision-making. She firmly believed in the philosophy of "Think before you act - weigh out the consequences," a lesson that she lived by and passed along to her family.
An avid golfer, Ruth's prowess on the greens was evident in her impressive collection of achievements. An enviable eight holes-in-one and three President's Club trophies were among the many laurels that filled her trophy room, a testament to her dedication and skill in the sport.
Ruth will be remembered not only for her extraordinary accomplishments, like painting, poetry, gardening, cake decorating and golf, but also for the legacy she has left behind. Her life served as a framework of excellence, an example for all her grandchildren to emulate. Her love for golf was a shared passion among her family, and her absence will be deeply felt on the golf course.
