Ruth Gladys Casewell (Smith), age 85, of New Orleans. Was born in 1936. Growing up living in a savers world, she saved all sorts of things her entire life.
Married to Spencer Casewell winter 1960 who preceded her in death in 2001. They adopted two children Sally and Susan.
In her heroism, she saved many cats and dogs throughout her years and many, many vessels in which to feed them.

Ruth requested a small service with immediate family only and as we appreciate all the love and support, due to COVID-19 constraints all services will be held privately. True to form, Ruth has asked in lieu of flowers that you donate to your local animal shelter or adopt a pet of your own naming it Ruth or Ruthie. (She literally wrote this!)
