Ruth E (Owen) Blackinton, 92 of Cooper City Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 20th with family and friends at her side.

Ruth was born in Providence, Rhode island on October 6th, 1926, the adoptive daughter of the late Frederick Willam Owen and Emma (Thorpe) Owen and biological daughter of James Milton Owen and Hazel J.(Foulkes) Owen.

Early in her life she worked at Crown Fastener as an Executive Secretary and contributed to their company newsletter with a monthly cartoon strip.

All that knew her loved her for her quick wit, sense of humor, kindness, and ability to win over a total stranger in a matter of moments with a compliment and her warming charm.

She was the beloved wife of her true and only love Paul Allen Blackinton, a loving mother to her Daughters Ashlin (Bill) Lovelace and Dr. Robin (Kevin) Gale, Sons, Paul (Jennifer) Blackinton, and James Blackinton. She was a dedicated Grandmother to Holly, Kevin, Kimberly, Courtney, Sharon, Chrissy, Michelle, Nicole, Michael, Aiden, Kyle, Danny, Jenna, Cheyenne, and Ciara. And Loving G- Nana B to 25 Great Grandchildren.

Ruth will be remembered for her artistic hand, great imagination, and endless dedication to her family.
