Ruth Ann Taylor, Age 78 Passed away on , in Memphis, TN
Ruth was born in Memphis on October 25 ,1945. Her father, Henry Mallory Sr and mother Ida Mae Bulter, were outnumbered by Ruth and her siblings Henry, Evertt, Calvin, Leon, Rita and Letha (John-deceased).
On October 14, 1969 Ruth married Houston Taylor. Ruth and Houston went on to have three children, Eric, Kathalene, and Lisa. Who gave her four grandchildren to spoil. Jaimie, John, Sean-Marc, and Joshua.
She retired from the IRS after 35 years. But because of her soft spot for those in need, she continued to serve others when needed. She volunteered at the Board of Education, Baptist hospital, and Unite Way Free Tax Center.. She was always there to lend a hand to friends and family.
The last few years dementia took hold. But she continued to cherish the warm embrace of family and friends. Finding comfort in her relationship with the Lord, singing and dancing to worship music, having conversations with everyone she met, much laughter, trying to cook everyone a meal while bossing Mr. Taylor around. She never stopped being Ruth. She will be forever missed and cherished by so many she touched. We kindly ask all to cherish her memory and remember her as the pillar of strength she was. May she rest in peace. .
