Ruth's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Ann Ambron in her home surrounded by loving family members on May 27, 2025. Ruth was born on December 29, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, and in her 83 years of life, she touched countless lives with her warmth and easy-going personality. She loved to make people laugh even during her toughest times.
Ruth devoted much of her life to caring for others. As the parish secretary for St. Isidore Church (Bloomingdale, IL) for 30 years, she was a cornerstone of the community and always worked hard to ensure every detail was just right, so nothing or no one was forgotten.
She had pride in her work, but her family always came first! She found much joy in taking care of everyone. She lived for a nice meal out with her family and friends, a shopping adventure with her grandkids, and a good book on the beach - she was the most voracious reader and loved to visit the shore!
Ruth was predeceased by her loving parents, Ruth Dever (nee Whitaker) and Walter Dever, and her beloved husband, Walter J. Ambron, who she now joins in eternal rest. She leaves behind a mourning but grateful family - two children, Kevin Ambron and Kristen Kinsella; seven adored grandchildren, Aiden Kinsella, Caeli Kinsella, Zoe Kinsella, Greyson Kinsella, Liam Kinsella, Wyatt Patterson, and Payton Ambron; and one brother, Rev. James T. Dever, OSFS.
Ruth’s legacy is one of kindness and caring, a testament to the love she shared freely and unconditionally. She will be profoundly missed but her spirit remains as a light in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
As we navigate through this difficult time, we take comfort in knowing that Ruth's life was filled with love, joy, and the company of family and friends. She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a cherished friend. Ruth’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will forever inspire us to live with kindness, love, and a zest for life.
