We are saddened to report that Russell Anthony McGinnis , aged 67, of Covington, Ga. passed away on October 30, 2025 at Emory University Hospital Atlanta from a massive stroke. 

He had suffered a previous stroke which had left him partially disabled but he always maintained a cheerfulness about him in spite of it.  He was a good sport through it all. 

He loved Jesus and had complete confidence in Him to see him through all difficulties and take him to Heaven when his time here was up. 

He enjoyed listening to Christian Country Songs, loved his dogs, especially the one he called “Snot” and he had a single cat at one time that he adored.   He loved Susie’s cooking and afterward He liked to sit out on the porch and watch the birds and the deer when they came to drink from the pond out back 

We all love him and miss him.
