Our favorite fluffy boy Rudy passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021. On Christmas Eve 2006, we were blessed with meeting one of the best companions a family could ask for. He was a shy, but energetic puppy. Over the next 14 years, Rudy taught us the meaning of loyalty with his feisty spirit.

Rudy was a goofy dog who loved nothing more than treats after going outside and barking at everyone walking down the street.

He tolerated all the extra siblings he had forced upon him, dogs & cats alike. Bailey, Murray, Zena, Moe, Jolie (mama kitty) and the spawn of satan Flo-Ho “Devil Kitty”. Never demonstrating the “alpha”. He was content to just be here with us - although he occasionally took advantage of an open door or gate to explore the neighborhood unsupervised.

2020 was hard on him though, as it was for everyone. Evacuating twice really wore him out. In the last 3 months, he began to show signs of dementia, and we made the hard decision to let him go rather than continue to suffer. Under a beautiful blue sky, wind blowing his fluffy white fur, he laid his head down for the last time on his favorite blue blanket he came to us with.

Thank you for being such a loving friend and we hope you’re resting in peace. You’re always in our hearts, Mr. Fruity Cakes.
