Ruby was the 1st person I interacted with when I started working for LA County DCFS as my Administrator. Had the pleasure of having a great conversation. Had many more during my 10 years within the same office as Ruby before I transferred. She had a lasting impression on me regarding County Service. My condolence to the family of Ruby Kennedy.

If you knew Ruby she would tell you she is passing through to her forever home. Remember her smile , her warmth and her love for she was on loan and have now gone back home.
Jesus says Welcome home Ruby!!

I met Ruby while working at DCFS, some 30+years ago. From the first day I met her I knew we were kindred spirits. My first connection was through that infectious smile and laughter. Then I learned we both had the same sir name Hill.
It wasn’t long before we shared numerous conversation about our love for Jesus. We spent countless hours talking about our families and church and the birthing of Refreshing Fire Ministries.
In a Department the size of DCFS it wasn’t long before promotion sent us in different directions. Yet, somehow we managed to maintain contact and even got together to fellowship on occasions.
Even now when I think of Ruby my first thought is the beautiful smile she would always greet me with. I rejoice in knowing this is a homegoing for Ruby for she was ever seeking a closer relationship with our God, now she is seated at His feet. You will be missed.
