Ruby's obituary
Ruby Fisher Williams was born on July 16, 1936, and peacefully passed away on December 20, 2024. A woman of quiet strength, kindness and femininity, her loss is profoundly felt by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
Ruby is survived by her children, Suzann Hembree, Michael McCleary, Jeffery McCleary (Michele) and Michelle Lambert (Charlie). Grandchildren David James Hembree II(Heather), Joshua Matthew Hembree, Michael Frances McCleary, Sean McCleary, Timothy Ryan McCleary (Amber), Shannon Speed (Will), Ariel McCleary (Alex), Christopher McCleary, Shelby Lambert, Tina Lambert, Clinton Moore, Andrew Moore. Great Grandchildren Bentley Hembree, Kaylee Hembree (Mason May), Abigail Hembree, Isabella Hembree, Peyton McCleary, Zohie McCleary, Kassidy McCleary, June McCleary, Jesse McCleary, Josiah Speed, Jedidiah Speed, Jordyn Speed, Jaylyn Speed, Michelle (Nay) Smith (Mason). Great Great Grandchildren Walker Keith May.
She was predeceased by her sons, Philip McCleary, and Charles (Chuck) Moore as well as her father, Fletcher Fisher, her mother, Velma Freeman, and her brother, Charles Fisher. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew them.
Having retired in 1981 from a fulfilling career at Southern Bell she would go on working for many years to come in various fields.
Ruby's favorite recreational activities were spent with family and friends, cherishing every moment with her loved ones. She loved the tranquillity of the beach and spent many days letting the waves wash away her worries of the day.
When asked about her greatest accomplishments, without a doubt, Ruby would mention her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was extremely proud of her family and the legacy she leaves behind. Ruby's life was full and she will be deeply missed.
