My pal Ruba Duba! We first met with a blast throwing water balloons at each other on a very hot day in the park with our ladies Lucy and Maria. Been having a great time always washing our cars and changing oil behind the Negrini house garage while drinking your Heineken beers! Played baseball with our family friends Jose, Ralph and brother in law CARLOS winning always! He was a great mentor and friend. We knocked heads and learned a lot about each other. Always looked forward to hang with him and just spend time talking and drinking his Heineken beers in Da garage. My heart is heavy with him now but I’ll see you later around Da block bro♥️🙏

I will always remember my uncle as someone who hummed a lot. One day I asked him, “Tio Ruben, what song do you keep humming?” He looked at me and replied, “You know, I don’t know. But let me think about it.” The next day he gave me his answer; “It’s a song from the 40s, I think it was a quartet group.” He couldn’t remember the name but it did make me curious enough to add 1940s music to my music playlist. It is soothing just like Tio Ruben’s humming. I will miss hearing him.

Titi Lucy, Danny - you are in my thoughts in this time of grief. It is a time of sadness but also a time to be thankful for a peaceful ending.

All my love to you and yours. I’ll play some 1940s music just a little louder - I’m sure Tio Ruben will enjoy it.

He will be missed.  I remember he encouraged everyone to go out and reach for what you want. And as I said to Danny, he was a character.  Ruben you are in my prayers.
