Now it has been one year since our sweet Rozann has passed. Wow!! I miss my girl so much!! She was such a good listener and could brighten your day in just seconds!! We would pray together and bitch together and get it all out and then get to laughing in no time. There was no one like her. She was loyal like no other. I wear the ring you gave me every day!!!

Rozann and I shared a very special friendship that each of us cherished! Each of us coming from a very Catholic background, our daughters being born within 4 months of each other, Bishopville Fire Dept stories, I could go on and on. Rozann was a true friend who was loyal and honest and kind. She was a good listener and had my back many times. She will always be missed!!!

Roz was something else. And I smile, even as I type this message. By something else, I mean EXTRA, extra of everything! She was so witty, actually not just witty. She was hilarious. She was so ready with the comebacks and the one liners. I always told her she missed her calling as a stand up Comedian. I had some of my best belly laughs with Roz. I met her through my sister, but she very quickly became my friend too. One of my favorite memories was going to Las Vegas with Roz, my sister and her daughter Natalie. Boy, did we have a good time? I’m so glad that some of my most recent visits back home from Arizona, I was able to hang out with Roz. A trip back a couple years ago had us hanging out all day, going bar hopping (old lady style). Not your typical bars, we went to the Moose Lodge and we went to the VFW. The VFW had slot machines and it wasn’t long before Roz made her way from the bar to the machines. She really loved those slot machines. Her health had already started to decline and my sister and I found ourselves helping Roz finish her sentences. It really made me sad. This amazing woman, with the quick wit, was beginning to struggle. But as we sat there, the last couple visits, she’d pull out one of those classic one liners and just make us laugh. Her sense of style was unmatched. She always had the most classic outfits. I know for a fact she loved to shop because every time I saw her there was always a new outfit. I wasn’t able to make it back to Maryland this year to wish her farewell, and I’m so sad about that. She will always be in my heart and I will think of her often. Fly high Roz and give those friends in heaven the very best belly laughs. Much Love!!
