Roy "Ed" Hayes, known to most as Ed, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2025 with his wife by his side. Born on April 3, 1957 to parents Roy Eldon Hayes and Doris Ann Holtzclaw, who preceded him in death,  Ed loved to rock hunt and fish , he enjoyed music and just being outside and drinking beer. He lived a life full of compassion, joy, and unwavering strength. Known for his steadfast character and generous nature, he truly was a good man for all who came into his life.

Ed leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary Bartolacci Hayes, and their son Marc Hayes and wife Charity from Higbee, several step grandchildren who will continue to honor his legacy of kindness and love .He also had a sister Laurie Tuggle and husband George, nieces and nephews. His life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and laughter.  Ed's memory will live on, inspiring all those who knew him to live with the same vigor and grace that he did.  The world truly lost a good soul and he will be forever loved and missed.
