October 13, 1956 - February 1, 2024
Roy Donohue, lovingly known as Robo, passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 67 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was born on October 13, 1956, in Rutland, Vermont to Roy Donohue Sr. And Gail Donohue. He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1974. After high school, Roy joined the Navy and proudly served his country.
Roy was a talented cook and found great joy in his profession, working at the Red Arrow Diner and even being featured on the popular show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
His home was his sanctuary, and Roy found peace and contentment in the familiar surroundings with his wife Cheryl and his loyal furry friend Owen.
Roy, known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, was the life of the party. His infectious laughter brought joy to all those around him.
Roy is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Browning Donohue, their daughter Sarah Donohue and Daughter-in-law Karen, and his cherished grandson Michael Kennedy and his long time girlfriend Daisy. He is also survived by his sister Tina Walsh, sister-in-law Pat Browning Poisson and her husband Eddie, brother-in-law Buddy Browning and his wife Nancie, as well as his nephews Ben Nadeau and his wife Kristy, Eric Nadeau, Kyle Poisson, Zak Poisson and his wife Julia, Adam Browning, Buddy Browning and his wife Devin, and niece, Erica Browning.
Roy will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for his family and friends, and his dedication to his profession and country. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Rest in peace, Roy. Your memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
