Rosita "Rose" Burke, fondly known to all as Rose, passed away on July 12, 2024. Born on November 3, 1942, she lived a life full of warmth and wit that touched all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her husband Brad Burke and her loving sons, Luke Turner and Andy Burke. Each of them will remember Rose for her welcoming nature and unending love. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Richard Turner, her parents Juanita White and Forrest Gardner, and her step-father Kenneth Cox.
Rose had a deep love for Jane Austin novels and the PBS News Hour, reflective of her inquisitive and intellectual nature. A connoisseur of abstract and impressionist art, Rose was a fan of Matisse and Diebenkorn. Her favorite pastime was playing word puzzles that stimulated her librarian mind.
Among her favorite recreational activities, reading stood out as a quiet appreciation of imaginative narratives.
Rose welcomed everyone with open arms, her kindness, and generosity leaving a lasting impact on all she met.
