Rosi Lea's obituary
Rosi Lea Ricketts passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 31st, 2024, at the age of 59 years old. Rosi Lea leaves an indelible impression on those who called her wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, teacher, and mentor. Rosi Lea’s brilliant spirit, radiant smile, and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know her.
Rosi Lea, daughter of Gerald and Alicia (Crump) Hampton of Marshall, Texas (formerly of Naples, Texas), was born on January 23rd, 1965. She lived most of her life in Naples before moving to Cedar Park, Texas, which she called home up until her passing.
Rosi Lea worked in education for nearly 30 years and retired as the Assistant Principal of Florence High School in Florence, Texas. Rosi Lea was cherished for her profound impact on her students and colleagues. With a genuine passion for their well-being and development, she cultivated a culture of empowerment, instilling in each student a sense of purpose and confidence to embrace their potential.
Rosi Lea’s passions extended far beyond her career. She loved music, attending concerts, traveling, spending afternoons on her patio admiring her garden of flowers, but Rosi Lea was most happy when she was spending time with her friends and family.
Rosi Lea dedicated her life to our Lord at an early age. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Rosi Lea is survived by her husband, Steven Ricketts; children and grandchildren from her first marriage of thirty-six years to Stephen Tuck, son Robert Tuck, daughter and husband Rachel and Byron Fiss and their children Kennedy and Hilton Fiss; stepchildren and their families, son and wife Logan and Jamie Ricketts and children Aiden, Arabella, and Sydney, son and wife, Aaron and Kimberly Ricketts and children Joshua, Brodie, and Trip; parents, Gerald and Alicia Hampton; siblings, Robert and Kathy Hampton, Kathryn Hampton and Cheryl Peck, Mark and Karen Hampton, Glen and Christy Hampton, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Rosi Lea will be honored in a celebration of life service led by Pastor Tommy Weems on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Naples, Texas.
