Rosemary's obituary
Rosemary was born in Highland, OH on December 27, 1928. An Ohio farm girl by birth, she lived a life of adventure and travel. Rosemary received her bachelor's degree from Ohio University and a master's degree from the University of Illinois. She met the love of her life, Irvin, while continuing her graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin. She worked as a speech therapist for many years, both in private practice and in the public schools in Waukegan, Illinois, before Irv's job led them overseas to live. In their forty years of marriage, Rosemary and Irv shared a remarkable 22 home addresses across three continents, four countries, and seven states, before settling in the Cincinnati area after Irv's retirement to be near their grandchildren.
Rosemary's favorite place, however – her "heaven on earth" - was the home she and Irv had built in Estes Park, CO, near the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. She was fortunate to be able to spend several months there each year for many years.
Rosemary will be remembered by all who knew her as someone who lived life with infectious joy and who befriended everyone she met.
A service in celebration of her life will be planned in Colorado when gatherings of friends and relatives are again possible. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to the YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center https://donate.ymcarockies.or…
