The most passionate woman for God and greatest prayer warrior I have ever known now walks with the saints. Yesterday my mom's youngest sister Rosemary left us for the the joy of heaven. Our family is heartbroken.

Aunt Rosie was so full of love and care for each one of her family members (and there are a lot of us), and for every person she ever met. She was always in attendance at every family celebration, graduation, wedding, shower and memorial ... if her reward is based on miles traveled to support a loved-one then she's got the biggest mansion behind the pearly gates. To say that she will be missed is way beyond an understatement.

This photo was taken when I was 18 months old. This is what happens when the flash doesn't go off, but I think it's perfect. Just as she's holding tight to me then, she has held me in prayer my entire life. Many's the time the phone would ring late at night and I'd hear that cheery "Hellooo!" and she would always leave me covered with a blessing.

Please keep our family in prayer, especially her dear daughter and two sons. Also my mom ... this is the third sibling she's lost in a year, and mom is now the only one left of the eight children in her family.

This quote from C.S. Lewis was included in my Uncle Alan's obituary (Aunt Rosemary's husband who passed in 2018). It is so perfect:

RoseMary Alice Peaslee - Honor of Life Celebration, April 19, 2024

She was simply theee; sweetest, kindest, open hearted, so thoughtful, loving, queen of prayer type person I've ever known....and am so blessed to have her as "my Aunt Rosie". The family gathering put together here by her three kids was more than priceless on how well everything fell into place...and the sun was shining too ! Family and Friends traveled near and far to be here with their many loving feelings, words, and stories. Only a few were unable to make this. It was also a real honor to be asked to play a few songs. The "Who am I" song was actually requested by Aunt Rosie on a note she wrote back on Monday November 6, 2017 to be played at her memorial service. A powerful song/message that I think she all she wants us to remember and to be thankful for (thanks again Donna Cole for singing this w/me !) God Bless you Aunt Rosie with "all our love"...you are the best !!!

I usually called her Mom Peaslee because that’s what she asked I would call her years ago.  Later, she would sign her emails to me as Mom Rose.

She was quiet but strong in the Holy Spirit, a prayer warrior, always wanting God’s will, wanting to help other people and be “mom” to many of us.  When I heard about her planned knee operation, my heart instantly wanted to go and help. It was a miracle how the Lord worked it out for me to have an extended period of free time and the easy airfare to New Jersey.  It was a privilege for me and it hurts me as I remember her and write about her because I miss her so much.

Those few weeks last year, I got to know about her life and work through our conversations..  It was a restful place there at 2B, her home.  It was the kind of home you’d expect someone like Mom Rose to be living in.  It reflected her spirit!   It was a privilege to be able to take care of her, almost a vacation for me.  She was like a 2nd mom to me, so it was a joy for me to be there for her.  That time of being with her was very sweet.  If I could have stayed longer, I certainly would have.  2B won’t be the same now.

She would call me sometimes and we would talk for over an hour, telling me she prays for me and all of Kindy’s friends that we would all find our godly husbands!   In many ways, she reminds me of my own mom, a prayer warrior too, and a sweet person.  You can tell Mom Peaslee had a depth of love for others and wanted to share the gospel and the love of Christ because she knew first hand of His love and that you can depend on Him.  She said she wished she would be able to do praise dances again, and that’s one of the things she was hoping for after the knee operation.

I really thought we’d have more time together in the future, but that wasn’t in God’s plan. I have to remember that God has his timing and it’s always right.

Still in tears as I write…. I know that when she left, a sweetness left the earth.

I remember that on December 31, 2023 when I was desperate and sad about the death of my husband, I received a call from her offering to pray for me. I can say that her prayer filled me with peace.
