Rosemary's obituary

We mourn the loss of Rosemary "Rose" Grant, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, who passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024. Born on December 6, 1952, Rosemary crafted a life filled with love, humor, and hard work.

She will be immensely missed by her children, Casey Grant and Tommy Grant, as well as her beloved daughter-in-law Sherlaine Grant. Her memory will continue to be cherished by her grandsons, Braxton and Grayson Grant.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother, Maude Baker, father, John Markley, aunts, Patricia and Virginia Markley, and uncle Frederick ‘Brownie’ Markley.

Throughout her life, Rosemary was an avid reader of any and all genre of books. The lyrics and melodies of Bob Dylan were often echoing in her home, as he was her favorite musician. She found joy in reading, spending time with her loved ones, and sitting outside in the sun, filling her life with simple pleasures. She spent many years working as a waitress at Frisches and Denny’s restaurants as well as an STNA at Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center.

Those who knew Rosemary were touched by her hardworking nature, her loving personality, and her warm sense of humor. She believed in leading with the heart, not just the head and passed on this valuable lesson to her children, who she considered her greatest accomplishments.

Rosemary's vibrant spirit, her laughter, and her love will forever be embedded in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rosemary’s name to the Columbus chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. https://www.alz.org/centralohio
