Rosemarie Gauthier née Fabrizio, lovingly known as Aunt Roe-Roe and Nanny, passed away on the evening of December 9, 2020 surrounded by her daughters, sister Louise, and brother-in-law Phil. Rosemarie was born on October 31, 1940 to Sylvester and Frances Fabrizio. In addition to her parents, Rosemarie was predeceased by her husband Paul Gauthier, daughter Roseanne Albano, brother James Fabrizio, nephew Sylvester Fabrizio, and great-nephew baby Philip Peranzo. She is survived by her sister Louise Peranzo and husband Phillip, brother William Fabrizio and wife Linda, brother Phillip Fabrizio and wife Titti, brother Frank and wife Marylou, brother Joseph Fabrizio and wife Kathleen, daughter Frances Lercara and husband Stephen, daughter Louise Pelish and fiancé Lewis Peterson, son Paul Gauthier and wife Martha, son Joseph Gauthier and wife Kate, son Phillip Gauthier and wife Lori, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

While cancer took her from this world, cancer cannot take Rosemarie from our hearts and from our memories. She touched many lives as a beautician, as a member of The Italian Club, and as the mother of a big Italian family. She lives on in her cookie recipe, in the smell of a beauty salon, in the nostalgia of The Wizard of Oz. She will be remembered every time you taste black licorice, when you eat until you’re about to burst but still have room for coffee and some cake, and when you show your love to others through acts of service- primarily by lovingly and aggressively feeding them. May the love she spread transcend her lifetime. Rosemarie, we know it was your time to click your ruby slippers three times and go Home; know that the legacy you leave behind is even more spectacular than the land of Oz.
