I First Met Your Mother:
In 5th grade, she was the most beautiful girl in school and also the kindest. She was everyone’s friend.
I will Never Forget The Time We:
Sang our hearts out to the entire En Vogue album and made up dance routines. Or the time she tried to teach me how to model and pose for pictures, we were 10. Haha
I will Always Remember Your Mother As:
Kind. She cared and loved deeply. She was sensitive and tender-hearted. Her smile and her laugh were infectious. She was very nostalgic and saved every picture, letter, memory from childhood and would share them often. She was sentimental. She wanted nothing more than to make you proud, Lilly.
Your Mother Taught Me:
We never know the impact our kindness makes on people. That kindness plants a seed and though we may never see the fruition of that seed, the sower is never forgotten.
My Prayer for you Lilly is:
That you would come to know and love Jesus Christ; your creator, your mommy’s creator, the lover of your soul. That you would allow Him to be the lamp unto your feet to guide your precious soul through this life, in all its darkness and pain. Because this life has those things, but we don’t make camp there, we keep going, we press through and we get to experience great joy on the other side. I pray that you would find Him to be your very best friend, your protector, and comforter. He will never leave you. I pray that all generational traumas end with you. And that you take that beautiful brightness that your mama had, and that it grows and expands with an even greater reach! Stay close to Jesus and you will live a rich, beautifully blessed life, regardless of what life throws at you. God works ALL things together for the GOOD of those who are loved and called according to His purpose. That’s you! You are so wildly loved and worthy, don’t let anyone ever convince you otherwise. I pray you always know that Jesus gave His life so that you and your mama get to spend eternity together. For that, we can celebrate.
