RoseMarie's obituary
Born on January 3, 1942, in Martinez, California, to Phil Sr. and Romola Luna.
Rose was a gentle soul, with her loving and caring nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Alling; her parents, Phil Luna Sr. and Romola Luna; sister, Linda Muir; and her brother, Fred Luna.
Rose's legacy will continue to live on through her children, Veronica Finley, Lynette Alling Myers and husband Jimmy, John Alling, and her foster son, Justin Barton; Her grandchildren, Timothy Finley, Andrew Finley Sr. and Tanner Alling; great-grandchildren, Andrew Finley Jr. and Jackson Finley; her brother, Phil Luna Jr. and wife Darlene; goddaughter, Jennifer Muir; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rose grew up in Antioch, CA; graduating from Antioch Sr. High School in 1959. She worked at Glass Containers, while furthering her education through adult learning courses. Soon after she began working as a Social Worker for Contra Costa County and later for Curry County, where she touched countless lives through her work.
Rose's love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undeniable. Never missing an opportunity to send them cards, gifts, etc., every holiday, birthday, whatever the occasion.
Rose's legacy is one of selfless love and the belief that everyone deserved dignity and respect.
The loss will be deeply felt by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. The beauty of her spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Rose's memory will live on and continue to inspire and guide us; Reminding us that the truest form of immortality is found in the love we share and the lives we touch .
