Rose's obituary
Rose Marie Cahill, 56, born and raised in New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1967, but do NOT call her a Valentine's baby.
Rose was a true master of the art of dark humor, with her sarcastic wit sharper than a baker's knife. She had a no-nonsense approach to life, cutting through the BS like a pro. She had a rising reputation for baking Christmas cookies that could make even the Grinch crack a smile. Her secret ingredient? Love, of course!
Not content with just being a dough-gooder in the kitchen, Rose also took joy in spending time with her granbabies, watching Christmas movies like a jolly critic, playing Candy Crush like a pro, and crafting her way to creativity with her partner-in-craft, Rosie.
Rose leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love, survived by her daughters, Desirae Gomez, Jennifer Gonzalez, Rose Bonaiuto, and her son, Mark Bonaiuto, Jr. She leaves behind a heartfelt thank you to her son-in-law, Kurtis and daughter-in-law, Kayley. Her granbabies, Mikey, Angel, Xavier, Aryanna, JJ, Romeo, Cameron, Elijah, Emma, Olivia, and Jordyn, will always hold a special place in their Nana's heart.
She also leaves behind her siblings: Geraldine Marchewka, Mary Cahill-Catania, and Melvin Cahill, Jr., who undoubtedly shared many laughter-filled moments with their sister.
Rose's journey was preluded by her late mother, Frances Cahill (DeVito), and her sister, Susan Cahill. In their loving memory, we find solace.
Rose Marie Cahill will always have a special place in our hearts, reminding us to find joy in life's little moments. Her legacy will continue to inspire us to bake, laugh, spread love and leave nothing left unsaid. Let us raise our baked goods in her memory!
