Rosamma's obituary

In Loving Memory

Mrs. Rosamma Thomas (Mommy), 93, of Santa Clara, California entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2026 surrounded lovingly by her family.

Rosamma was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by selfless love, humility, and resilience. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she found her greatest joy in children, to whom she dedicated her life. Through gentle guidance, a warm smile, and playful humor, she created a world where everyone felt seen, valued, and deeply cherished.

In Kerala, India, Rosamma served as a schoolteacher and later as a headmistress, shaping young lives with care and dedication. After moving to the United States in the early 1980s, she continued her work with children at a preschool at Moffett Field and later with the Navy. She lived selflessly, always placing her family and others before herself. Her humility and kindness were evident in the way she lived each day, with love woven into every word and action.

Rosamma’s faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. It guided her steps, shaped her character, and filled her with a deep and abiding peace that she shared freely with those around her. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, meeting every responsibility with strength, perseverance, and determination.

Known for her sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, Rosamma could brighten any room with her contagious smile and natural charm. She worked hard for her family through the gift of her care and through her delicious cooking, of which she was well known for. In her quieter moments, she loved to read and spend time crocheting.

Though she will be dearly missed, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she so generously gave.

Rosamma is survived by her three children, Sumol Thomas, Sabu Thomas, and Suja Oldenburg, along with their families. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, P.T. Thomas, her parents, her three brothers, and three sisters.

The funeral service will be live-streamed on April 2, 2026 at 10:00AM PDT. The memorial service will be streamed via Zoom on April 2, 2026 at 2:30PM.
