Mrs. Rosa Clarice Webb Jennings, 87, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 1, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Nora and Albert Tate Webb. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elwood Lee Jennings; a son, Donald Elwood Jennings; a sister, Reba Webb Sarver; and three brothers, Roland Webb, Dewey Webb, and Raymond Webb. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Douglas E. Jennings and spouse, Carol of Knoxville, Tenn., Richard W. Jennings and spouse, Rachel of Roanoke; and a daughter, Dottie M. Atkinson of Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Shirley C. Jennings of Knoxville, Tenn.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elbert P. and Dorothy Jennings of Roanoke, Geneva and "Ick" Noble of Portsmouth, Va., Bebe Aldridge of Blue Ridge and Sylvia Webb of Pennsylvania. She had ten special grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whome she adored. Mrs. Jennings was a homemaker. She was a lady of many great talents. "Mama Jennings" as she was affectionately known, was a member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church and a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday school class. She had many friends whom she loved and appreciated. Funeral services will be held at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Tom Stocks and the Rev. Carter Sloan officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lotz downtown Tuesday, April 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Hiles, his nurse, Beverly, Good Samaritan Hospice, Friendship Manor and her many friends for their kindness shown during her illness. Flowers are appreciated, however, anyone who wishes to make a donation in her memory, may consider Good Samaritan Hospice or Rosalind Hills Baptist Church.
