In Loving Memory of Rosa Ciardiello

We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Rosa Ciardiello at her home on December 18, 2025, at the remarkable age of 101. Rosa was born in a small town near Naples, Italy, and was raised by farmers, and became one as well, devoting their lives to the land and the animals that provided for them.

In 1947, Rosa married the love of her life, Eligio Ciardiello, and together they shared 77 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with six children: John, Robert, Tommaso, Maria, Tommy, and Lorenzo. Rosa was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A devoted homemaker, Rosa held her family together with unwavering love, care, and dedication. She will be especially remembered for her warm sense of humor, her lovingly homemade Italian meals and baked goods, such as biscotti, panettones, taralli, zeppoles, strufoli, ricotta pies, and so much more, as well as the cherished tradition of Sunday afternoon family pasta with a meat sauce from her own bottled tomato sauce, which the family made together every August for the whole year.
