Rosa's obituary
Rosa passed away on June 2, 2021.
Rosa, born to Maria Ruiz and Narcisco Almanza, took her first breath on December 5, 1934. Rosa was a Godly woman, who lived the Christian life. She loved her Lord, her family, church and community.
She graduated from Mercedes High School and local Secretarial School.
While Rose never married, she lived a full and vibrant life with many friends. Her nephews and nieces, great nieces and nephews, and great-great neices and nephews meant more to her than words can describe. She was a postive role model to them . She was our Santa Clause every year.
Rose retired, from USDA in Weslaco after 30 years of service. Afterwards, she devoted most of her time to her family and her Church. She was a member and Elder of El Principe de Paz Presbyterian Church. After the passing of her parents and her little sister Adela, she got more involved in her church.
She also taught Sunday School and Summer VBS.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Isabel, Juanita, Micaela and Adelita. Also by her brothers, Lucio, Antonio, Bonefacio, and Narcisco Almanza Jr.
Services will be held at Presbyterian Cemetary on Tuesday, June 8, at 10:00 AM.
