Background
Playing softball and baseball meant a lot to Rory when he was younger.
He was well known as a home run hitter in our town.
He played for many years, even as our children grew up; we all attended and enjoyed many of his games.
Once our children were old enough, he was very proud and happy that Ricky and Brandon played in the Westfield PAL League.
Rory went on to become a PAL coach and coached for many years, even after our sons went on to high school.
He was remembered for his humor and his caring attitude by the players.
There was always a football being thrown around somewhere, and most recently in our pool.
During this time, we are kindly asking that flowers not be sent to the the Presbyterian Church.
A scholarship for the 2025/2026 school year was just created in Rory's name.
A scholarship will be awarded to a deserving senior at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. The ideal recipient will have either played baseball or football at the PAL level or during their high school years and has displayed a strong leadership role.
Thank you for your consideration.
Warm Regards & Love,
