Background

My father has dealt with manic depression and mental health since I could remember. He has been sucidal since me and my brother where little kids. He has been in and out of mental hospitals and caught before he could actually commit sucide. On January 6 2021 my father had left the mental hospital only to find out that his mother that he had taken care of had been placed in a nursing home and the house that he was living in was condemned due to my grandmother's hoarding and my father was left homeless. Upon trying to clean the home and figuring out where he was going to live my father stated that he could not take it anymore and was going to commit suicide. Since my dad had always said this my uncle did not stop him and thought he was just saying it. As of January 6th my father walked into the Seneca cauyga canal only to b no found and considered a missing person. In between my father being missing my grandmother passed away. My father was found deceased on Easter on April 04, 2021. Now me and my brother are left with responsibility of our grandmother and father's funeral arrangements. My dad was on SSD and my grandmother's estate which has been condemned is going thru probabte and not available for me and my brother to burry either if them and the family is trying to dispute who is executor of the estate and beneficiary. So me and my brother are left with cremation of our father and grandmother with no way to pay for these considering I am recently unemployed and disabled due to mental health and physical health reasons and my brother is a normal working person taking care of my grandmother and his 2 children on a minimum wage job. We really are just looking for help with the cremation of both our grandmother and father so they can be put to rest properly and remembered in peace. This has been super eye awaken and a lesson about mental health and the unity of a family. If a person u know struggles with mental health or your family is divided from disagreements or other problems make peace and unity and please don't ignore a person's cries for help or mental health status. Years and years of my father's trying to his suicide and mental health treatments finally was carried out. We as a family were not prepared for this not did we ever think that he would b successful at carrying out the takwning of his own life. My younger brother and I were not prepared for this along with the rest of the family. I am sad also relieved that my father is finally found and at peace. Please if u have a family member struggling with mental health don't take it lightly and b involved in thier life and treatments. The fact that my brother and I were not prepared for this and was not left with a will or anything to help with his funeral arrangements or my grandmothers. Any help toawrd the funeral expenses and have no way of paying for the expenses or to get executor of what little estate my grandmother has left. Please any donations or help are greatly appreciated so we can put both our family members to rest Contribute   Right arrow
