Ronald "Terry" Thompson, 74, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on December 28, 2020.

Terry was born on June 10, 1946, to Harland and Ruby Thompson in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating from Pratt Highschool, Pratt, Kansas in 1964, he went on to play football at Pittsburg State University and then on to the United States Army in 1966 where he was an Army Sharpshooter.

After serving his country, Terry landed his first job at Bovard Supply Company, working for his father Harland. In 1978 he started his own company, Thompson Sales Company, in Liberal Kansas, and later joined JW Power in Yukon, Oklahoma, where he was honored for 25 years of service.

In 1972, he met Michele Diane Miller, and they wed in 1974, going on to have 3 children, Amber Ragland, mother to Brooklynn and Cydnee Dossey, of Oklahoma City, Terry "Trey" Thompson, father of Dylan Tanner Thompson, of Moore, Oklahoma, and Richard "Tanner" Thompson, father of Baylee Thompson, of Moore, Oklahoma.

Terry was a force of nature, who loved OU Football. His eyes would light up when engaged in a conversation centered around his favorite football team. Anyone who knew Terry knew how much he loved his family. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Even at the end of his life, his main concern was that his wife, Michele, would be taken care of. He was unendingly proud of his 4 grandchildren and always tried his best to support them in whatever they chose to do. All three of his grandaughters had him wrapped around their fingers, and his grandson, Dylan, was his pride and joy.

Terry was predeceased by his grandparents, Archie and Emily Gibson, parents, Harland and Ruby Thompson, of Wichita, Kansas, his brother, Eric Thompson, of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Son-in-law, Ryan Ragland, of Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Michele Thompson, children, Amber, Trey, and Tanner, and grandchildren, Brooklynn, Cydnee, Dylan, and Baylee.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Eric E. Thompson Scholarship fund at Hutchinson Community Colledge, Hutchinson, Kansas. There will be a celebration of life at a later date continue to check this site for updates.
