I send my deepest condolences to Mrs. Schroll and to the children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Mr. Schroll (Ronnie to my parents, Albert & Adelaide Nadler, fellow teachers at SLCHS) was my chemistry and physics teacher at Saranac Lake Central High School. He was a wonderful teacher and human being -- kind, patient, engaging, and funny (all of the attributes so important in teaching high school). His enthusiasm for science radiated outward to his students.
In any conversation my parents had that might include mention of either Mr. or Mrs. Schroll, I only heard respect and affection. I grew up knowing what a lovely family you all are.
When I was in high school, I babysat one evening for two of you children in the house by Moody Pond -- I don't know which of you it was, because you were sleeping and I never saw you! (I do recall ill-advisedly reading "Lord of the Flies" in that quiet house with the dark woods outside.)
Please know my siblings and I join with the many, many people whose lives Mr. Schroll touched for the better in sending our sincere sympathies and our wishes to you all for peace in your memories.
