Ron's obituary
Ron Reha, Sr. passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. He suffered a heart attack while on the golf course on Saturday, April 9 and passed quickly, without pain, the following day surrounded by his family. Born on September 6, 1957 in Austintown, Ohio to Edward and Irene Reha (Rozaiesky), both of whom preceded him in death.
Until his last day, Ron was full of life. Vibrant, silly, and perhaps most of all loyal and honest, he brought joy and stability to both family and friends. His characteristic laugh and unique ability to make anyone feel like an old friend made him an inspiration and source of comfort and wisdom to many. Born near Youngstown, Ohio, he spent most of his adult life in Pittsburgh, PA where he was most easily recognized as the manager with the friendly face in blue scrubs at Mineo’s Pizza House in Squirrel Hill for over 30 years. In 2019, he moved to Verona, WI with his wife, Val and began his retirement. Where he was able to pursue his passions of golf, rock drumming, weightlifting, and spending time with his family and dogs. He loved jacuzzi baths, classic cars, and playing Spades with his family. He would stay up late and talk on the phone with Amanda during her night shifts and text Julie and Val every morning. He was a black belt in Taekwondo, a true baseball fan, and a certified badass. His rock-n-roll soul lives on in his wife of 32 years, Valerie (Lion), his sisters Deborah Burgy and Diane Reha, his nephews Darren and Kevin Burgy, his two daughters Amanda and Julie, and his son Ron, Jr.
Visitation will be held in Madison, WI on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 3-5 pm at Ryan Funeral home located on 220 Enterprise Dr., Verona, WI, with a service to follow at 5 pm. There will be a wake at the family’s house following the service. There will also be a celebration of Ron’s life in Youngstown, OH on Saturday May 27, 2023 at 5pm at Rachel’s Restaurant on 54 Westchester Dr. #23, Youngstown, OH, 44515. All are welcome.
