Ronald was my nephew and I spent most of my time watching him grow up. I was next to youngest in our family and his Mother, Ovelle was next to oldest in the family. When I graduated from High School, I went to work at First National Bank in Birmingham. Having grown up and lived In County, I needed to live where my job was located, understand this was in the early fifties and transportation was not a available to me from whereI lived. My sister was gracious and let me live with them so I could get to my job. I was just out of School and Ronald was going through school. He was rather a quiet but fine young man. We got along great and he was never in any trouble for his parents. After a few years when I was planning to marry it was decided that I would marry at their house. Ronald was very helpful with all the plans that have to take place and took on the role of Usher. You can imagine that seating was limited being in a home. He did a great job ! In a few years after that my family and I moved out of state. When we moved to Texas he, his wife and first child came to visit us, he was known to be a big western fan, yes indeed he bought that little boy some cowboy boots while there. I understand he was a real lover of all things western.
