Ronald's obituary

Ronald Ralph Ashby
June 12, 1943- December 17, 2019
" Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
Our beloved husband, father, "Apa" and friend, Ron Ashby passed away peacefully in his home in Pleasant Grove, Utah December 17th 2019, after an 18 year battle with cancer.

Ron loved his wife Debbie, his kids and his grandkids more than anything. He was passionate about quite a few things in life, like his family, riding his bike, his dog Rosie, his yard and traveling.

Ron and Debbie shared a love for many things especially biking, traveling and grandkids. They were able to the have many adventures together doing what they loved often taking kids and grandkids along.

Ron's battle with cancer rarely slowed him down at times, but more often than not he was out working on his yard, spending time with his grandkids and his golden doodle Rosie or out on his deck working on his tan.

Ron will be forever missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debbie, his children, Robert(Susan), Debbie(Tom), Jon and Jessilyn, 8 grandkids, one great granddaughter and 2 more great grand children on the way, his sweet 100 year old mother Cecil and his siblings, Doug (Sherry), Greg, Nick (Martha), Janna (Dave), Fred (Lisa) and many nieces and nephews, and his faithful Golden Doodle, Rosie, that was by his side to the very end. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph H. Ashby.

We would also like to thank his incredible nurse Becky and his CNA Sheila and the rest of the A1 team. They have been amazing and have gone above and beyond and we are so grateful for them.

" I had one last ride and although I go on alone, please don't grieve for my passing, instead enjoy the beauty of the world. Follow your heart to each new adventure and enjoy each day that you have during your time here and enjoy your family and friends. "

The family has honored Ron's request that there be no services.
