Ronald was hospitalized fairly suddenly and unexpectedly, on May 2nd. He was a fairly young man, having turned 50 less than a month before his death. Ron unfortunately experienced prolonged CPR, resulting in a situation where his children, Bruce, Andrew, & Treavor, Really three strong, and vibrant young men, all three really just stepping out and starting lives of their own. Now unexpectedly faced with the doctor asking them to decide to remove thier father from life support. The boys and other family members decided that Ron would not wish to continue on life support if he was without brain function, which was the case; And so a decision was made that Ron would be evaluated for the ability to be an organ donor, and following that process he would be removed from life support and allowed to move on to be with God. Awful choice for anyone! The boys were able to come to this very difficult decision to remove the life support. Ronald was found to be eligible to be an organ donor! A bittersweet moment indeed; This was such a comfort to my babies to know he would be able to offer the gift of life to possibly four different individuals thru donation of his liver and kidneys! What a lasting legacy for one to leave behind; a priceless gift they felt they would always be proud to remember! This was a balm to their grief, that they were so conflicted at times wondering if they had made the right choices for their dad. As well as liver and kidneys, He also was a tissue and eye donor! Unfortunately during these trying times none of the family is able to afford the cost of the final expenses! And despite the unparraled gift Ronnie offered the organ donor program, there is to compensation available as a thank you! So now we are reaching out to you to please help us honor Ronald for his gift and ease the worry for his Sons; Bruce, Andrew, and Treavor, and family in thier time of grief struggling to try and find enough money for Ronald to be cremated. So we set up this fundraiser for the boys hoping for caring people like you to donate toward Ron’s final expenses. We only need $1250 total at this time
