Ronald's obituary

In Honor of Ronald "Ron" J. Palm – A Life Illuminated by Hard Work and Family

Born on February 12, 1937, in Rhinelander, WI, Ronald John Palm is a cherished member of the community whose life has been a testament to dedication, family values, and entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up in a close-knit family, Ron learned the importance of hard work early on from his parents, John T. Palm and Geva Palm. The lessons of integrity and perseverance they instilled in him would guide him throughout his life and career.

Ron stepped into his father’s footsteps, taking over Palm Electric, a family business that served the Rhinelander area with quality electrical services. Under Ron’s leadership, Palm Electric thrived, becoming a trusted name synonymous with reliability and craftsmanship. His commitment to maintaining the high standards set by his father and growing the company further cemented the Palm family legacy within the local community.

More than a dedicated businessman, Ron is a loving father to his children, Eric and Andrea, who have been his greatest pride and joy. He has shared with them not only his work ethic but also his sense of humor and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Ron's warmth and kindness have always made him a beloved figure, not just within his family, but among friends and neighbors who value his contributions and companionship.

Ron has always held a special place for Rhinelander in his heart, fostering connections throughout the community that have spanned generations. His life’s work and commitment have brightened the lives of many, making Rhinelander a better place for everyone who calls it home.

Ron has spent a happy retirement with his wife Ruth enjoying the sunshine and friends in the Gulf Coast of Florida.  He had a particular fondness for music and sometimes chose to sing along. Ron always appreciated a nice automobile, and truly enjoyed the companionship offered by a series of lovable dogs throughout his life (many of them Golden Retrievers).

Ron’s journey, filled with hard work, resilience, and a steadfast love for his family, continues to inspire those around him. As he looks back on a life well-lived, the legacy he has built through Palm Electric and his enduring family bonds remain a shining example of what it means to live with purpose and heart.
