Our beloved father, Ronald Keith Moe, passed away peacefully in his home on December 2, 2025 at the age of 83 years old.

He was born in Merced on May 27, 1942. His childhood in Merced instilled a lifelong passion for sports, specifically basketball, baseball, boxing and martial arts. He served in the Navy as a frogman from 1963-65. Ron was a local business owner in downtown Merced for many years. He carried with him a wealth of knowledge of local Merced history. He also had a passion for coaching kids (and some adults) in basketball, baseball and boxing. He loved to tell stories about any of those things with anyone who would listen.

He married Jane Doris Kamson on December 6, 1964, and they shared 58 years together before her passing on December 18, 2021. They shared a passion for their sports teams and their days in the vintage car clubs.

Ron leaves behind his children Debra Nelson, Nancy Moe-Garcia (Jonathan Garcia), and Jason Moe (Stephanie Moe), 10 grandchildren (Mariya, Michael, Kyle, Joshua, Jonathan, Hailee, Jayden, Jordan, Noah and Jesslyn) and five great grandchildren (Alexander, Oakley, Harper, Olivia and Mac).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring, when family living out of town and state can attend. Family and friends will be welcome to attend.
