Ronald's obituary

Ronald Thomas Melone, Age 77, passed away on May 28th in Sarasota, Florida. Born October 10, 1947 in Teaneck, NJ to Grace Sally Stella and Leonard James Melone, “Ronnie” was the middle of three brothers. Spending his early years in New Jersey, Ron came out of high school into the IBEW union. Ron spent his life working as an engineer, rancher, and entrepreneur in the food industry. There was nothing that he could not master when he put his mind to it.

Ronald was married to Frances Castronuovo, with whom they had two sons. Ronald later married Susan Vergona with whom they had a daughter. Later in life, Ron’s greatest joy came from his grandchildren. Ronald’s hobbies included cooking, bread making, woodworking, tinkering on just about anything that needed to be fixed, and he had a die-hard obsession with the New York Yankees.

Ronald is survived by his brothers Leonard and Dennis (Sandra); his children Nicholas (Tracy), Christopher (Tiffany), and Bianca (Juan); his grandchildren Nicholas and Alexis, Christopher, and bonus-granddaughters Liana, Sabrina, and Angelina, all of whom he cherished deeply.

Ronald was cremated and a celebration of life is planned for September 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church 3930 17th St, Sarasota, FL 34235.  And a gathering to follow the mass at Il Panificio, 1703 Main Street, Sarasota, FL 34236.  The family would like to invite anyone who wishes to attend and pay respects with the family of the life of Ronald Thomas Melone.
