Ronald's obituary

Ronald Jermaine McCrimon was born on June 22, 1971 in Maimonades Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. to Cynthia R. McCrimon (deceased) and Charles Utley (deceased). He grew up in Flatbush/East Flatbush (Brooklyn N.Y.) and attended elementary school P.S. 92, Bildersee J.H.S. and Redirection High School. As a child raised in a family household, under a God- fearing christian great- grandmother Evielena Lewis (deceased) , he faithfully attended, Mount Sinai Cathedral Church located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bklyn, n.y. His love for arts and crafts and designs, as a teenager, adopted him the nickname Colon. He loved hip-hop, old school R&B and reggae music. In his adult years, he was a custodial worker, a short while, at New York City Technical College Bklyn N.Y. and did carpentry work part-time. He loved to cook various dishes and was creative in the kitchen. Fish, rice and steamed veggies was one of his favorite dishes. Ron loved his dog Browny, which became his best friend following the passing of his mother. He enjoyed family and was a big family oriented and spiritual person. He was very protective over his family and loved in a supreme way. Though kidney failure complicated his daily livelihood travels, he continued to give praise and acknowledgement to God's kingdom, attending Mt. Sinai United Christian Church (Staten Island N.Y.) and studying biblical scriptures. Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memories: (brother) Ikim S. Whitley; (sister-in-law) Kynda McQueen-Whitley; (brother) Jermell McCrimon; (sister) Tia McCrimon; ( grandmother) Erma J. Knight, Helen Francois ; uncles, Michael McCrimon, Errol Knight and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
